How to get to the Da Lat Alpine Coaster

The Da Lat Alpine Coaster starts in the Datanla Waterfall tourist area on Prenn Pass, 5–6 km south of central Da Lat. There is no reliable bus, so most visitors come by Grab, taxi or rented motorbike.

From Xuan Huong Lake by road

One road out of the city, winding once it reaches Prenn Pass.

    Book a Grab or taxi

    Ask for Thác Datanla (Datanla Waterfall); on a motorbike, follow the same route.

    Head east on Ho Tung Mau

    From Xuan Huong Lake, follow Ho Tung Mau Street to the large junction.

    Climb Prenn Pass on National Road 20

    Carry straight on along National Road 20 onto Prenn Pass and follow the Datanla signs.

    Turn in at the large sign

    The entrance is about midway along the pass, some 400 m off the main road.

Grab, motorbike and the airport

Grab or taxi: check the fare in the app before you book, and plan the ride back as well: book it in the app when you leave, or arrange a pick-up with your driver.

Motorbike: Prenn Pass is a winding mountain road that gets slippery in the rain, so take the downhill stretches slowly.

From Lien Khuong Airport: the airport is about 30 km away along National Road 20, roughly 30–40 minutes by taxi or Grab. The airport shuttle bus only goes to the city centre.

From the Da Lat Cable Car: Truc Lam Zen Monastery, at the top of the Da Lat Cable Car, is about 2.6 km away, but the trip between them needs a taxi or Grab.

Not one you can rely on. Some guides mention local buses along National Road 20, but most say there is no public transport, so take a Grab or taxi.

Where do I collect my ticket?

At the ticket counter by the entrance. If you booked online, show the mobile voucher there and you get a paper ticket for the coaster.

When should I arrive?

The coaster opens at 07:30 and last admission is at 16:30. Visitors who come at opening or late in the afternoon report short queues.
